About Me

My photo
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back. - Unknown

Thanksgiving 5k!

For Thanksgiving I decided to run my very first 5K!!
I began training for it about a month and a half ago but the last 2 weeks I was sick and havent done any practicing, so I am amazed that I finished at a better time than any of my practice runs :)
Matts awesome parents ran it with me :)
They are so great! Matts mother won 1st place in her age group and his dad won 3rd place for his. They also won the drawing for a $50 gift certificate to La Caille :)

heartbreaking!

I dont normally use this blog to throw out my personal views on anything but today I had to. I am heartbroken and indescribably upset over things I have been reading in the news recently!

I read today that 2 more teenage boys have committed suicide due to gay bullying! That makes 6 in less than a month and I cant describe how terribly sad, devastated and upset that makes me!!!!
Parents, communities, schools, everyone needs to come together and stop this bull shit!!!!
These families have lost a precious child due to ignorance and stupidity! I cant imagine the feelings they are experiencing right now! The overwhelming heart break of losing their child and the intense anger knowing it was caused by flat out ignorance!
Some body elses personal problems and ignorant issues have caused these beautiful CHILDREN to take their own lives and this cannot be tolerated!!!
Someones personal preference is THEIR OWN BUSINESS! Who someone is attracted to is no one elses business but their own! Who I love is MY BUSINESS ALONE!
If you have an issue with being gay, then dont be gay! If you hate tomatoes, dont eat them, if you dislike the color black, dont wear it! Its that damn simple!
Parents please teach your children that this sort of behavior is unacceptable! Teach them that kids are just kids, people are just people, and their own personal preferences are non of your damn business! Leave it alone, let it go. Live your own life the way you choose, and let others do the same!!!!
Being gay is not an illness! It is not wrong!!! Being gay is just that. Gay! Its a PERSONAL way of life! It shouldnt affect the way anyone else lives theirs! Who I want to be with is MY CHOICE! Who I love is MY CHOICE! STAY OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!
Imagine it being your own child! How would it effect you to know your child is tormented and tortured every day of their lives, soley because they are who they are! Your gay child is your child just the same!
Please people, teach your children to love and accept people for who they are. Teach then that bullying of any kind is wrong, hurtful and tragically devastating! Teach them that being gay is ok.

Something had to be done about this! But what??

OREGON!!

Matt and I, along with the boys take a trip to Oregon every summer to visit my Gramps and GG and to have ourselves a little vacation. Normally I overload blogger with a million pictures, but this year I was too involved to take that many :)
We went to Harris Beach in Brookings Oregon. Last year it was too windy and cold to enjoy it that much but this year it was so nice! We actually braved the cold water :)
We all of course got sunburned (me more than anyone else for some reason) but we all had a lot of fun! The only scary part was the amount of Jelly Fish! I thought for sure someone was going to get stung. I guess we got lucky! :)
The one time over the whole weekend the boys actually played together without any fighting, crying or tattling! :)
Sandy Toes :)

Of course we cant visit Gramps and GG without going to Rogue Park. Unfortunately, it was too hot to stay for too long...
Brady fell walking down a big rock at the beach. He's pretty proud of his little battle wound tho :)
I've never had a goose get this close to me before. And I've definitely never had this many!
MY GRAMPS!! Love him!
MY GG!! Love her!
My cousin Adrienne! I hadn't seen her in over 10 years!! Last time I saw her she was just a chubby little 10 year old. Now shes 20 and I feel old!! :)
