About Me

My photo
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back. - Unknown

Sophie....

Our little kitty Sophie ran away 2 weeks ago! We have all been very sad and very worried about her! Brady more so than any one I think! He loves the cats like theyre his babies! He was devastated!!!
And to make matters that much worse, it has rained so hard and so much every single night since shes been gone. Thunderstorms, lightning, heavy downpours, etc....for 2 weeks!!!!! So we were all very sadly starting to lose hope that we'd ever see her again :(
So yesterday, the rain lets up for a bit, its a little bit sunny and nice out so Matt decides to take Brady golfing. On a whim chooses to drive through the neighborhood rather than the main road and HOLY CRAP! There she was, right there in the middle of the road! Matt shouted "THERE SHE IS" And Brady just stared. He couldnt even believe they had found her!
Keep in mind that we had driven up and down every street we could for 2 weeks. Brady and his friends rode their scooters around for hours at a time, many times and nothing!
They brought her home and the first thing she did was eat. Of course. She is so skinny and shaky and understandably exhausted, but we are doing our best to nurse her back to health.
And funny enough, when I let the dogs out this morning, Sophie voluntarily went out with them. I was pretty surprised to see that she is still willing to go out. But of course it didnt last too long and she was back in the comfort of her own home within a few minutes :)
One other thing I wanted to share.....Brady told me that the night before she was found that he had prayed for her. Neither Brady or I are very religious people (even tho we are considering the options) but he was ready for her to be home, he had enough of missing her and wanted her back so he said he prayed to God they would find her. The very next day, they did.
It definitely got me thinking......
